Prince Edward Historical Society Photographs
Archives of Ontario Picton Gazette Fond
The Picton Gazette Fond was donated to the Archives of Ontario by David Taylor of the Prince Edward Historical Society in 1970, before the County of Prince Edward Archives were created.
In 2013 a partnership was formed between the County of Prince Edward Archives and The Archives of Ontario in order for The County Archives to digitize The Picton Gazette Fonds, which consist of 5,900 photographs taken in Hastings and Prince Edward counties by “Picton Gazette” staff. Subjects include community events, local landmarks, and individuals.
Image Reproduction
Photocopying and scanning: For reproduction of an image in print, digital or electronic form, a reproduction and condition of use form must be signed. The cost for reproduction is as follows:
- Print 300dpi printing on 8.5 x 11 $3.00
- Photocopies/prints are $0.20 per page (1-10), $0.15 per page (10+); all photocopies/prints must be stamped with the archives stamp on the back
- 300dpi digital or electronic files $5.00 per file
- 600dpi or higher digital files $25.00 per image
- Not for profit rates will also be provided.
