Jane is the author of two books about her ancestors: Soldier, Settler, Sinner, involving her 3rd Great-Grandfather MacDonald’s role in the Napoleonic Wars before settling on the Bay of Quinte, and Shades of Allegiance, revealing her Prince Edward County’s Gerow ancestors and their roles in the American Revolution. As well, she contributes to various newsletters and journals as she describes her Gerow and MacDonald family. Spending summers with her grandparents on the Bay, she learned of life as it had been lived for decades, and of their deep roots to the County.
