Have you ever thought about how your computer communicates a message? Or how pressing buttons on a microwave or a video game creates a response? This is all part of the coding process. Coding is basically the language script that tells a computer what to do.
What if I told you that you could create your own code? At Coding Club we will get together each week to learn how to code through a block coding program called scratch! You will learn how to add sound, motion, and visual effects to animations and even learn to create your own game! At the end of our 8 weeks together we will be able to make friendships, collaborate, share our work, and play some pretty awesome games along the way!
This program is fun, interactive, and allows you to build onto your skills each week. You do not have to have any previous experience coding to have fun or follow along. AND, for those looking for a little more challenge, you can add your own elements of creativity to each activity, making this coding experience entirely tailored to you! Let’s get coding!
(Basic navigational skills on a computer are recommended, therefore it is estimated that this program will be best suited for kids 8 and up.)
