Ancestry.com is the largest family history site online with over 4 billion names in worldwide

Description
The Canadian Reference Centre is the largest collection of regional full-text content available -
it combines Canadian magazines, newspapers, newswires, and reference books. Highlights include
Canadian Geographic, The Toronto Star, and the Washington Post. This is a
great "general purpose" source for information on a wide variety of topics. It also
includes an image collection with 107,135 photos, maps, and flags.

Canadian Points of View is a database designed to provide students and schools with a series of

library branch. New accounts can not be created from
home. From a library computer visit the NetLibrary link above and choose Create a Free Account in
the top-right of the screen. Fill out the form and click "Create Account". After
creating your account you will be able to use NetLibrary from ANY internet connected computer.
Description
A growing collection of online accessible books (ebooks) and downloadable audio books covering
a wide variety of topics. While you are in the library, sign up for an account and use that

Description
The Oxford English Dictionary is the accepted authority on the evolution of the English
language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and
pronunciation of over half a million words, both present and past. It traces the usage of words
through 2.5 million quotations from a wide range of international English language sources,
from classic literature and specialist periodicals to film scripts and cookery
books.
The OED covers words from across the English-speaking
world, from North America to South Africa, from Australia and New Zealand to the Caribbean. It
also offers the best in etymological analysis and in listing of variant spellings, and it shows

Library does not own? If you'd like to confirm that a book is available before we request it
from another library, search "VDX". This tool allows you to search many libraries in
Southern Ontario. If you find a title or titles that you'd like to request, you can do this
yourself in a few, easy steps or send an email to illodept@peclibrary.org and include your name, phone
number, library card number, and the title and author(s) of the materials you'd like. VDX can
also be used to place your
own interlibrary loan requests. Ask a librarian

Description
The Thompson-Gale databases include full-text newspapers, magazines, reference books and
Canadian newswires. These databases are the product of Knowledge Ontario which is focused on
