Can't find that long lost relative?
The County of Prince Edward Public Library and Archives
holds an extensive collection of genealogy / local history materials. Work is currently
in progress to make our resources available on-line. Staff members are available to
undertake searches on behalf of persons who cannot access our collection directly. This
service is free of charge. Searches are completed on a first-come, first-served basis, as
staff and time permit. Nominal charges for photocopying / printing / mailing documents
may apply.

- Cemetery listings
- Biographies
- Local newspapers on Microfilm and microfiche
- United Empire Loyalist information
- Census transcriptions
- Baptismal transcriptions
- Willis Metcalfe scrapbooks on microfilm for searching
Births, Marriages and Deaths
- Indexes to the Upper Canada land books
- and much more!
Items not held in our collection may be requested through
our InterLibrary loan program, such as Census reels, Vital Statistics (Birth, Marriage, Death
registrations), Immigration and passenger lists, Land and property records, Court
records, Municipal documents, Military and more.
